Aviation flights have been canceled at DayJet Services. The air taxi pioneer has phased out all jet services because of a poor
financial market and its jet supplier. The Boca Raton-based company says that the shutdown was a direct consequence of its inability to arrange critical financing amidst a struggling economy.
In a statement, the company announced that the business also suffered as a result of Eclipse Aviation’s failure to install missing equipment or functionality or repair agreed upon technical discrepancies in accordance with the terms of DayJet’s aircraft purchase contract.
DayJet was launched two years ago and was co-founded by Ed Iacobucci, who is also the co-founder of software maker Citrix. Iacobucci has relinquished his duties as
president and CEO of the company but will still be involved with DayJet as chairman.
