Job Description:
The individual supports the FAA's Programs Operations Support Branch and Traffic Flow Management User Team. The successful candidate shall be responsible for providing technical and administrative assistance to various forums supporting development of requirements to meet users of the Traffic Flow Management system as well as operational and training requirements of the Air Traffic Control System Command Center. This support is inclusive of developing and reviewing requirements documents, providing technical advice on traffic flow management products, associated training, operational air traffic control matters, and providing administrative support when necessary. Administrative support functions include: scheduling meetings and drafting meeting minutes, acting as a facilitator at selected meetings and coordinating arrangements for facilities that meet the needs of the participants.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate shall have a well-rounded base of FAA En Route Air Traffic experience. This is inclusive of positions held in both a FAA staff and FAA air traffic controller environment. Staff experience can be at facility, region or headquarters levels within the FAA. Air Traffic Control System Command Center experience is desired but not required. The individual must be proficient in the use of MS office suite of tools especially: Word, Power Point, and Excel. Desired, but not required is a working knowledge of MS Project and Access. The successful candidate must have strong people skills. Technical writing skills is a must. The individual must demonstrate an ability to work with little supervision and is a team player. Some travel is required.
