Goals: Leads and manages the Trainings Standards Pilots team and the Lufthansa Aviation Training US Standardization Department Qualifies and trains staff and personnel to carry-out the Standardization goals of Lufthansa Aviation Training US training programs Ensures Lufthansa Aviation Training US training programs are conducted in accordance with TM-OM guidelines and maintains a proper balance of effectiveness and efficiency with regard to Lufthansa Aviation Training quality and safety practices Leads the Training Standards Pilots team Collaborates with peers across Lufthansa Aviation Training to harmonize Standardization topics Manages the training process for new Flight Instructors: Assists in interviews to select the most suitable candidate(s) to fill open position(s) Ensures completion of the Initial training syllabus Ensures completion of all supplemental staff training (including but not limited to UPRT, and ODO training) Ensures the completion of the Annual Instructor Training Program: Conducts Instructor Training, Standardization progress checks Plans and organizes the integration of topics into the annual training which address deficiencies in Flight Standardization and FI skills Plans and organizes the stand-down training events, currently held twice a year Informs Managing Pilots for concerns of Fight Instructor standardization Evaluates all training programs continuously and recommends changes to policies and procedures to enhance standardization and quality of training when appropriate: Collaborates with the Manager Planning and Services about the accuracy of syllabi in Flight Pro Ensures the programmed Flight Pro schemes mirror the content provided by the official approved syllabi Acts as an evaluator for Lufthansa Aviation Training US flight training operations Conducts student progress checks Performs UPRT (if qualified) Collaborates within Lufthansa Aviation Training to develop new and revitalize existing training materials Domestic and International travel is required *All other duties as assigned or required. Your profile High school diploma\/GED required College degree\/vocational training desirable: Bachelor desirable Professional experience required: Previous aviation experience working in a team environment is required; Previous management experience while not required is highly desirable Language: English required Industry knowledge required: Must be able to communicate efficiently verbally and in writing. Must be able to efficiently apply collaborative techniques Expert knowledge desirable: Must possess CPL ME\/SE IR, CFI, CFII, or have comparable experience IT Knowledge as user: Good computer skills with Windows applications; Excellent skills in excel and outlook Environmental Influences: Must possess permit to work in the U.S. Willingness to travel Must possess a valid driver's license Airport environment: Must be willing to work under constant time pressure Must be willing to work under high stress levels Must be willing to work outdoor weather conditions Must be willing to work with noise pollution Authorities: In accordance with rules and regulations, and given authorities FAA EASA JCAB *CV\/Resume and Cover Letter required.
