Performs depot level modifications and maintenance on B-2 aircraft. Removes, installs, troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems and conducts diagnosis of malfunctions. Performs maintenance, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, re-assembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, drawings and specifications. Maintains required records, manuals and inspection forms. Performs diverse electrical, engine, structural, low observable and other tasks as required in accordance withtechnical orders or engineering drawings, specifications, wiring diagramsand other guidance.Position is for second shift, but shift assignment will be determined by modification team needs.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) andat least 4 yearsof related experienceor AA degree withapplicable aircraft experience.
Must have strong aircraft maintenance skills and the aptitude to acquire additional depot level skills in structures, electrical and low observables.
Must have solid communication and teamwork skills, and a thorough understanding of operational or depot level maintenance,aircraft forms documentation andsafety requirements.
Able to perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours
Able to change physical locations based upon need
Ability to be subject to both external and internal environmental conditions.
Ability to communicate over ambient noise level
Ability to be subject to a variety of physical conditions
Ability to be subject to a variety of atmospheric conditions
Able to wear respirator or other safety gear
Ability to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or closed spaces
Must have an activeDOD secret security clearance; must meet and maintain eligibility for additional clearances forcontinued employment.
B-2 specific experience and current B-2 clearance a plus.
Aircraft structures experience, aircraft modifications experience, or expertise in low observable application also a plus.
