PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Plans maintenance and directs members of his staff to assure they carry out all maintenance and engineering activities safely, on time, within allocated costs. Continually reviews the overall maintenance effort to assure maximum safety and operating efficiency at a minimum cost. Coordinates with other departments to schedule maintenance and work force to accomplish work programs as required. Ensures sufficient quantity of properly qualified employees for the volume of work in progress. Establishes work standards, hours of work, and shifts to be worked. Reviews maintenance delays and system problems and suggests improved maintenance procedures. Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines Coordinates, plans and establishes appropriate aircraft repair & maintenance schedules. Coordinates with customer flight schedule and aircraft availability. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed form a relatively long-term perspective, for desired results Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations Periodic OCONUS travel ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Punctuality to work each day and prepared to work scheduled work hours Other duties as assigned COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for thoughtful adherence to all SNC Policies, Procedures, and Compliance regulations (internal and external) Responsible for timely execution of all personnel-related activities such as Time Sheet completion, Performance Evaluations, Salary Reviews, Succession Planning, etc. Responsible for leadership oversight and for ensuring Department\/Team training ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Minimum physical requirements to perform all duties and responsibilities, as defined by management Note: This position may be considered a safety-sensitive position depending on business area requirements. They do not necessarily reflect all duties and responsibilities of a position EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Requires a BA\/BS in Related Field. Relevant work experience may substitute for required education. A current FAA issued Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Power Plant ratings A current Aircraft Inspector (IA) certificate Experience as a Director of Maintenance (DOM) highly desired. Maintenance experience with fixed wing and rotor wing aircraft (Pilatus PC-12 aircraft and Bell Helicopters (412) highly preferred). Become familiar with SNC manuals and requirements of 14 CFR \u00a743, \u00a765, and \u00a7145, \u00a7125, \u00a791 Thorough knowledge of all federal, state and local regulatory requirements applicable to airfield and terminal maintenance, security & safety. Thorough knowledge of the materials, methods & techniques used in an airport maintenance program. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings. Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity At least 10 years experience in the maintenance and\/or modification of large aircraft (FW & RW), one year which must have been supervisory capacity Ability to express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to exercise judgement & discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures. Ability to travel OCONUS Current US Passport IMPORTANT NOTICES: This position requires current\/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
