Description: The HH-60W Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) Program Quality Engineering team seeks a highly motivated individual to provide leadership as a quality engineer embedded in the cross-functional CRH Production Integrated Product Team (IPT). This is a high-visibility, impactful role where the individual will be directly responsible for quality planning and execution under a complex, challenging aircraft and training system development program. This position reports directly to the CRH Program Quality Manager. The HH-60W is an advanced variant of the combat-proven UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter, and will replace HH-60G Pave Hawk medium-lift, combat search-and-rescue (CSAR) vehicle that entered service with the USAF in 1982. The program is at an exciting and critical point in the development process, with build of initial air vehicles and training systems now in process. This is your chance to join the team as lead aircraft progress towards ground and flight test in support of the USAF's low-rate initial production (LRIP) milestone decision.Roles and responsibilities include:1) Rapidly deploy Quality and Problem Solving tools to tackle complex, challenging program issues as they arise, and assess the impact on product, production activity or program objectives2) Independently lead or support investigation, root cause assessment and establishment of corrective action for non-conformances and/or design/engineering issues related to Sikorsky and supplier product3) Interface heavily with other functional areas of the CRH Program Production IPT (Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, and Supply Chain Management) to champion Quality Principles during design, build and procurement activity4) Broadly assure Quality Management System (AS9100/ISO9001) policies and procedures are strictly adhered to during CRH program design, build and procurement activity5) Develop and champion intelligent metrics to drive self-assessment and continuous improvement activity6) Lead product fault investigations during internal flight test activity and after aircraft delivery7) Representing Quality, develop and present content for program reviews and other programmatic engagements within Sikorsky, and with our external customers (DCMA, USAF)8) Engage both internal and external customers to brief emergent quality or product safety issues, as required9) Monitor timely completion of Contract Data Requirements List items (CDRL)10) Perform Quality planning functions, as required, including assessment of Quality-related manning, Request for Proposal activity and Quality Management System coverage for CRH program activityDesired Skills: AS Degree- FAA Airframe and Powerplant License, or direct H-60 helicopter platform MRO experience preferred- Demonstrated ability to independently execute and manage assigned work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under minimal supervision- Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100- Experience managing quality in a highly regulated industry or for a DoD contractor- Experience planning and managing execution of First Article Inspection in accordance with AS9102 or similar- Demonstrated understanding of standard manufacturing and assembly planning and work instructions- Green/Black Belt certification with demonstrated experience in root cause analysis, mistake proofing, and continuous improvement activity- Occasional travel within the United States may be required, as well as occasional overtime to support program and customer milestones Basic Qualifications: Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100Experience managing quality in a highly regulated industry or for a DoD contractorDemonstrated understanding of standard manufacturing and assembly planning and work instructionsExperience reading and interpreting aircraft maintenance/repair manuals and associated technical drawingsExperience with Model Based Definition and/or Geometric Dimensioning and TolerancingProficiency in using MS Office products (Access, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)Proficiency utilizing verbal and written communication to execute work cross-functionally or in a customer-facing role, including the ability to structure, prepare and deliver compelling and clear communications to all levels of an organizationMust be a U.S. Citizen Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
