Job Description Principal Duties and Responsibilities:u00a0 The Senior Manager will be responsible for the following: directing and coordinating department activities, reviewing and analyzing reports, records, and directives, as well as monitoring and analyzing costs and budget preparation. This position will also prepare reports and records foru00a0department leadership, coordinate department activities to ensure efficiency and economy, and evaluate, develop, and improve practices and procedures. Inu00a0addition,u00a0hire, coach and provide career development to the staff, correct non-compliant behavior and impose disciplinary action as required. Manage the operational activities of the department in accordance with established policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications: u2022 Minimum two years of airline management experience and working knowledge of AOA environment u2022u00a0College degree from an accredited college, oru00a0equivalent experience u2022 Proven success as a Team Leader with ability to preplan manpower and equipment u2022 Experience in Winter Operations and De-Icing Guidelines u2022 Proven ability to manage budgets, facilities and equipment u2022 Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlines u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills u2022 Able to defuse conflicts among subordinate employees u2022 Familiarity with MS Office Suite u2022 Motivation to succeed u2022 At least 18 years of age u2022 High School Diploma or GED u2022 Valid Driveru2019s License Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Previous management experience in an airline hub environment u2022u00a0Knowledge ofu00a0American Airlines budgeting, policies, and procedures u2022 Previous experience working in a contract environment Work Environment: u2022 Standard office environment, use of computers and other office equipment u2022 Airport ramp environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels. u2022 Work weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts Physical Requirements: Generally not required The above statements provide a brief description of the general nature of work performed and not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required for this position.
