Job Summary
**
Under the supervision of the Program Manager and in direct coordination with the Program Management Office (PMO), theRegional Managerexercises direct oversight of contract defined responsibilities at the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Branches and Air Operational Sites (AOS) within the geographical region. The Regional Manager interacts daily with CBP Regional leadership to ensure production schedules and contract requirements are accomplished. Through the daily interaction prioritizes resources to meet mission requirements. Manages the Regional Management Office (RMO) staff and oversees quality assurance, environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs, and enforce implementation of policies, processes, and procedural controls at all locations. Ensures that performance and quality conform to contract standards and governmental agency guidelines. The Regional Manager may be assigned to a specific functional area, and job duties may vary based on assignment.
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
Directly interfaces with customer ensuring contract compliance and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Implements processes and procedures for production management, while enforcing quality, environmental, health and safety programs to meet the program goals established by management.
Consults with the PMO in determining functional area program processes to assure efficiency and best performance results.
Works directly with PMO to ensure that inspections, statistical process analyses and audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements and meet overall program specifications.
Develops internal support procedures concerning manning, management, and performance for assigned functional area.
Ensures that all administrative actions and procedures in support of the program are carried out in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and in an effective and timely manner.
Provides leadership and knowledge/mentor training to staff members and teams as necessary.
Develops staff and determines best methods for performance enhancement.
Responsible for the program production schedule, while maintaining quality assurance and safety compliance, including ISO compliance.

Must possess management, leadership and administrative skills.
Ability to communicate knowledgeably and effectively at senior management levels.
Knowledge of quality control, production and supply procedures required to perform job assignment.
Strong leadership skills with ability to manage a large and diverse workforce.
Skilled in operations, logistics, and resource management.
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum eight (8) years aircraft maintenance experience, with five (5) years supervisory experience in Department of Defense and/or civilian operations management environment in the execution of USG contracts.
FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license desired.
FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) desired.
Completion of a U.S. military tactical aircraft maintenance or technical school is desired.
Previous experience working on CBP aviation programs desired.
Must be a US citizen, possess a US Passport and be able to pass a CBP full field five (5) year background investigation and/or a Secret clearance background investigation.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be willing to subject themselves to random drug tests.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Physical Demands:
Activities range from, an office-like environment with extensive sitting demands to a flight line-like environment with extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.
May occasionally be required to lift objects whose weight exceeds 30 pounds.
Special vision abilities to perform this job are close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Work Environment:
The range of work conditions vary from an office environment where there is little or no physical discomfort to a flight line environment where inclement weather may subject the individual to severe changes in temperature, wind, rain, etc.
May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail.
May be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards.
OCONUS temporary assignments living and working conditions could be remote and uncomfortable.
Personnel should be aware of deploying on short notice and under adverse conditions.
