Cummins Inc., Global Integrated Services (GIS) – Aviation strives to enhance executive and employee productivity by providing safe, and efficient aviation services in the furtherance of Cummins’ business success.
GIS – Aviation operates three Gulfstream G280's for business travel along with one Embraer ERJ-135 used as a corporate shuttle. Pilots average 400 hours of flight time per year.
The duties and responsibilities of a GIS - Aviation First Officer include:
Assisting in the management of the flight and flying the aircraft in accordance and under the direction of the Captain.
Performing the flight duties as assigned by the Captain.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and foreign regulations as well as compliance with policies and procedures as described in the standard operating procedures manual.
Review weather conditions at the destination, en route, alternate airports and departure points; assists the Captain in making decisions necessary to start, delay, or cancel flights or deviate from planned route or destination when operation conditions dictate.
Reviews prepared or prepares flight plans; reviews and calculates aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board, and performance charts; uses checklists under the Captains supervision.
Ensure that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers; provides excellent customer service to passengers.
Additional duties may include assisting with flight department documentation, participation on the Safety Committee or Hiring Committee and participation in team or Company initiatives.

Required Education, Licenses and Documentation
Valid U.S. Passport
Valid first class medical certificate
Valid Driver’s License
Valid FAA Commercial Pilot License with an instrument rating or Airline
Transport Pilot Certificate
Minimum Required Experience:
1,000 hours total flight time
Successful completion of a FAA instrument proficiency check within the previous 12 months
50 hours of multi engine, turbine time in the past six months
· 500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) turbine time
· Intermediate level of relative work experience in a corporate aviation setting
