The Avionics Bench Technician troubleshoots and repairs or overhauls moderately complex aircraft instruments and avionics components to manufacturer specifications customer expectations, and Duncan approved procedures in a clean and safe work environment, with assistance as needed. In addition, this position accurately prepares and completes appropriate documentation. Essential Job Functions 1. Troubleshoots and repairs or overhauls moderately complex avionics components and instruments, including \quick turns\, using the appropriate test equipment and technical publications, according to manufacturer specifications customer expectations, and Duncan approved procedures, with assistance as needed. Orders parts needed to complete the work. 2. Prepares complete and timely documentation, including updating work order status, as required by Duncan approved procedures, manufacturers' maintenance manuals and FAA regulations. 3. Prepares complete, accurate, and timely information for creating repair estimates. 4. Maintains and cleans test equipment and work area as required. 5. Performs other duties as assigned by management.\u00a0 Job Specific Requirements Licenses\/Certificates: N\/A Attendance: \u00a0Regularly scheduled attendance required Physical:\u00a0 Routinely lifts 10 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.; identifies colors; tolerates standing and sitting; reads small print; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance Environmental:\u00a0 Tolerates working in a noisy environment Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM Education and Experience Avionics Bench Technician I: Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent required Avionics Bench Technician II: Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience required Minimum one year previous avionics\/instrument repair or related experience required Avionics Bench Technician III: Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience required Minimum five years previous avionics\/instrument repair or related experience required
