Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring immediately for an Aircraft Mechanic II at Joint Base Lewis-McChord WA.
Must have a current US Secret security clearance.
C-17 aircraft experience a plus.
Job Description:Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.
Must possess electrical/avionics core skill set, prefer ability to work across multiple aircraft systems (structure, hydraulic, environmental).
Candidate must be willing and able to work within previous fueled aircraft fuel cell and fit through an 10X18 oval opening.
Must be willing to travel both domestically and potentially internationally on short notice, up to 50% of the time.
Education / Experience:High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This contract is scheduled into December 2019.
This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) assignment. The SCA Occupational Code/Title is 23022, Aircraft Mechanic II, with a minimum Pay Rate of $32.63 plus $4.41 Health & Welfare Benefits for Washington State, Pierce County.
