Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking an experienced Structures Field Technician to support aircraft modifications on E-2 and C-2 aircraft at our Norfolk, VA site, and other domestic, and foreign locations as required. Candidate must be able to perform a variety of operations and become part of a small team of mechanics in order to complete the tasking assigned. Work is done in accordance with established procedures. Candidate must be able to interpret complicated schematics/blueprints, engineering drawings and technical instructions to safely perform sheet metal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment or fabricated items on aircraft. The duties for the selected candidate will include, but are not limited to performing part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. Be able to measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and locations to be attached. Also be able to monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. The individual selected must work as part of a team and be able to coordinate with each other, supervision, engineering, and Inspection to ensure compliance with installation drawings for internal sign-offs and quality specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

A valid Secret security clearance is required

High School and 4 years additional education or anAssociate of Arts Degree.

Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a structural mechanic on aircraft.
