Northrop Grumman Technology Services is looking for an experienced Quality /Flight Inspector candidate for the Japanese Self Defense Force (JASDF) E-2D Program. This position will be based in Melbourne, FL or Norfolk, VA, over a period of approximately 16 months. Additionally, this position will also require deployment to Misawa, Japan for approximately 18 to 24 months. Therefore, the candidate must have or be able to obtain a valid passport. This will be an accompanied assignment to Japan. The candidate will provide quality support to the Northrop Grumman maintenance team in Florida and Japan. Candidate will inspect test development and production E-2D aircraft systems, equipment and parts for operation and conformance to company standards and specifications. Inspection of the installation and operation of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of aircraft will be required. Audit / monitor processes to ensure contractual requirements and ISO 9001-2015 and AS9100D standards are being met. Develops and maintains metrics and trend analysis for contractual processes and procedures. Monitors and verifies processes in accordance with quality processes or other control procedures.
As part of a cohesive team effort ensures the contractual quality assurance programs and policies are maintained. Must have a working knowledge of aircraft systems, flight line operations and be able to read aircraft system wiring schematics and diagram, including naval publications and engineering blueprints. This position may work multiple shifts.
â€ High School and 6 years additional education and/or AA Degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
â€ Ability to travel internationally for short periods of time.
â€ A minimum of 2 years of quality inspecting and auditing experience.
â€ An active Secret Clearance.
â€ Experience as a Collateral duty inspector (CDI) or Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) is desired.
â€ 10 years of aircraft maintenance /flight line experience preferably on E-2/C-2 aircraft.
