Position Summary\u00a0 The Coordinator Materials coordinates repair activities and Business Partner commercial requirements for repair of JetBlue Components. This position ensures aircraft components receive high quality repairs, Business Partners are held accountable for their performance, and JetBlue achieves low CASM. As part of Business Partner management, the Coordinator analyzes data, identifies performance and warranty issues, and implements corrective action plans with the Business Partner. Essential Responsibilities\u00a0 Ensures aircraft parts are routed to JetBlue Business Partners and repaired within agreed turnaround time.\u00a0 Monitors stock levels and ensures low stock items are prioritized for repair, including materials for powerplant repair as required. Assists coordinating parts\/components movement to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including materials and tooling for powerplant repair, as required. Reviews, negotiates, and approves repair and modification cost quotes and ensures overdue invoices are paid promptly. Ensures compliance of the repair process with internal controls and General Maintenance Manual (GMM) Obtains corrective actions from Business Partners for units quarantined due to incorrect or lack of required documents. Obtains Free of Charge loan units and other entitlements for items overdue from repair Business Partners. Provides JetBlue Engineering administrative support by providing requested paperwork associated with repaired units from vendors. Provides JetBlue Commercial administrative support by providing requested paperwork associated with component performance issues, warranty claims and aircraft damage events. Helps ensure technical and reliability requirements are met in the repair process. Runs daily\/weekly\/monthly reports to support repair and payment processes.\u00a0 Liaises with Strategic Sourcing and Repair Business Partners to administer contracts, including repair capabilities and Quarterly Review Meeting process. Develops cost savings initiatives to reduce JetBlue CASM. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Experience and Qualifications\u00a0 High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) Two (2) years aviation experience Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills\u00a0 Domestic and international travel required Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge\u00a0 Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based programs including Outlook, Word and Excel \u00a0Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously Available for occasional overnight (up to 20%) Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test Preferred Experience and Qualifications\u00a0 Associate\u2019s degree in Aviation, Powerplant, Structures, Avionics, or Electronics Prior experience in any of the following is preferred: coordination of aircraft materials, coordination of aircraft component repairs, coordination of business partner performance and\/or warranty claims. Two (2) years experience in aircraft and engine parts procurement, or experience in other high volume repairs or purchasing environments Two (2) years inventory experience Familiarity with Maintenance & Engineering database (such as TRAX) Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate and\/or FCC license Crewmember Expectations: Regular attendance and punctuality Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion \u00a0Promote JetBlue\u2019s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue\u2019s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue\u2019s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR)) Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls \u00a0Upholding JetBlue\u2019s safety performance metric goals and understanding how they relate to their duties and responsibilities Equipment:\u00a0 Computer and other office equipment\u00a0 Work Environment: Normal Work Environment Occasional work in materials warehouse and on aircraft during ground maintenance Physical Effort: Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and\/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
