This Avionics Engineering job will require the individual to be responsible for the following.Responsibilities: Responsible for developing new IFE system and architecture including creating requirements definition, acceptance test procedures, system architecture, ICD, and any other required system documents. Additional responsibilities include interfacing with customers, suppliers and other project stakeholders pertaining to IFE design projects. Will implement the system architecture in conjunction with marketing and product line development for various aircraft platforms. Serve as the main technical interface for the aircraft platform between the airframer, product line manager and airlines. Participate in project design review meetings to ensure design meets intended requirements. Develop system engineering test plans and assure the execution of the plan and reports. Develop relationships with Airframer and retrofit engineering teams, leading to successful system integration and collaboration. Collect and document system architecture and cabin system interface requirements into system specifications and block diagrams. Define system engineering evaluation, functional, and operational testing. Will require both domestic and international travel. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related scientific field. EE, IE, or CS preferred. Minimum three years direct engineering work experience, two of which in a system engineering role.Knowledge of aircraft interior cabin electrical, avionics and entertainment systems. Solid understanding of industry standards.Must possess working knowledge of electronic system design techniques and engineering specifications and drawings.Proficient computer skills and demonstrate proficiency with CAD systems and MS Office programs.Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
