Responsibilities

Incumbent will serve as the Employment Services Manager (ESM) within the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO). You will oversee and direct all work activities which include: providing leadership and technical guidance over daily staffing activities such as compensation, recruitment, pay setting and classification. You will also be responsible for planning work; communicating objectives and vision; setting priorities; assigning tasks and responsibilities; monitoring and evaluating performance; coaching and developing employee capabilities; approving leave; and taking disciplinary and corrective action, as appropriate. In addition, you will strategically advise management officials at all levels on applicable policies and regulations; collaboratively resolve problems of unusual difficulty or complexity and assure that all actions of the Employment Services Branch are in compliance with laws and regulations; review workload reports regularly to assure the hiring timeframes are being met and to adjust the workload to meet changing conditions and demands; work with human resource systems; provide periodic reviews of vacancy announcements to ensure they are accurate and completed in accordance with policy and; ensure equal opportunity for all employees and applicants through compliance with applicable EEO laws and regulations.

Travel Required

Occasional travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis. The travel may be for training or other work-related duties.
