This position supports NSP within the Strategic Missile Defense Line of Business in Lockheed Martin Space.

As the Flight Systems Requirements Lead, you will:

• Manage the Flight Systems Requirements and Verification Team in defining, managing, and verifying requirements for Navy/Army missile flight system variants

• Develop, release, and maintain the overall missile specification

• Work with Certified Principal Engineers (CPEs) and designers to flow down and ensure compliance of missile requirements to subsystems and components

• Assist in maintaining configuration control of system requirements across all levels including processing of changes through stakeholder reviews

• Support integration efforts within the Flight Systems SEIT team

• Participate in design maturity reviews

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Math, Physics or other related discipline or equivalent work experience

• Missile or satellite system design, modeling and/or integration experience

• Experience defining and documenting system interfaces

• Experience coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Flight Sciences, Materials, Manufacturing, Test, etc.)

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Desired Skills:

• Understanding of system behavior and performance, requirement derivation and allocation, and methods to evaluate and document

• Experience with DOORS and Cameo for Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) including requirements management

• Experience leading a small team to a common goal in a technical environment

• Experience within the Conventional Prompt Strike Programs or other major Weapon Systems

• Prior experience as a Certified Principal Engineer (CPE), Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE), or related position that involved requirements management and verification for a hardware or software product

• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations

• Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors

• Active Secret clearance
