Position Summary:\r
\r
Assists the operation ground support and test equipment team in performing functional flight tests of electrical and electronic systems. \r
\r
Essential Functions:\r
\r
Ability to learn new tasks and techniques in troubleshooting A320/321 aircraft avionics, electronic systems and support Flightline Technicians in day to day operations such as identifying and analyzing instruments, components and assemblies using circuit testers or volt meters; trouble shoot aircraft systems, electronics, power plant failures and perform corrective actions post dock & post flight discrepancies\r
Support and interpret flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and repair communication, circuits and wiring.\r
Assist in the adjustment, repair or replacement of malfunctioning components or assemblies using hand tools or soldering irons\r
Perform post dock maintenance daily check list tasks and safety and security and preflight check list tasks.\r
Assist in lay out installation of aircrafts assemblies and systems following documentation such as AMM, AWD, TSM & IPC.\r
Actively participate in the development and improvement of A320 family system trouble shooting   skills\r
Assist and support in the repair of aircraft and/or engines and all associated systems using safe, cost effective maintenance procedures, such as but not limited to wing management programs or Engine, APU, ACM, cabin entertainment systems, Auto flight, Navigation and Communication systems.\r
Assists in the diagnosis of the cause of malfunctions, identifies failures and determines corrective action to restore systems to required operating specifications and standards.\r
Assists in the performance of required corrective action by making repairs, adjustments or replacements, such as but not limited to the following types of systems: \r

Controls and Sensors.\r
Handling/Testing Oxygen\r

Maintain a close working relationship with assigned lead person with regard to schedules, priorities, availability of parts, supplies and tools, and special instructions as required.\r
Perform work from Work Orders, SOI, service manuals, and other data sources to obtain dimensions, locations, alignments, tolerances and other specification requirements.\r
Assure that completed work complies with regulations (Both in Production environment and at Repair Stations), customer requirements, and company specifications.\r
Complete forms and records pertaining to completion of assigned work, including the time keeping process.\r
Support scheduled and unscheduled standard maintenance of aircraft and engines as required.\r
Perform daily inspection prior to using any applicable equipment, such as GSE.\r
Report the details of tasks input/output to direct Management.\r
Support aircraft movement.\r
Perform FOD check and walk through.\r
Support aircraft cleaning and preparation for customer delivery and flyaway\r
Perform other duties as assigned. \r
Cost, on schedule and are ready for scheduled test flight(s) and delivery.\r
Follow all OSHA, safety and environmental regulations.\r
Promote and have an active role and detailed knowledge of specific procedures such as but not limited to :\r

\r
Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Procedure (ARFF)\r
Flight and Ground Operation Procedure\r
Foreign Object Debris procedure\r
Tool Control\r
\r
\r
\r
Able to follow and encourage Safety by using applicable PPE, following and exceeding Safety requirement.\r
Participate in process improvement, root cause analysis, 5S, and all applicable tools improving work load, quality, safety and reducing cycle time.\r
\r
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:\r
\r
Ability to multi task and work well under pressure in team environment\r
Ability to simultaneously focus on Safety, Team work, Quality and customer.\r
Commercial/Vocational/US Military training in an aeronautical profession with limited experience.\r
Use a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices and test equipment in completing work assignments, and jigs/fixtures with associated licenses, such as but not limited to:\r

cherry-picker,\r
fork lift,\r
lifting platform,\r
loading platform\r
conveyer\r
\r
\r
\r

Education/Special Qualifications:\r
\r
Minimum of High school Diploma and specialized aeronautical training, FCC license is preferred but not required.\r
Familiarity with using and entering information in computer systems.\r
\r
 \r
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:\r
\r
Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions\r
Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.\r
Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.\r
Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and arms.\r
Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.\r
Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 30lbs/14kg.\r
Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas and on shop floor.\r
Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.\r
Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.\r
Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.\r
Travel/Mobility: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time and on short notice. \r
Able to work outside hangers in changing locations. Able to work on movable lifts at the aircraft at a height of approximately 40 ft. Sometimes working in a ventilated fuel tank with a mask in a confined space. Able to enter a wing through a 9.8 inch by 17.7 inch oval opening.\r
Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flightline and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor or outdoor surfaces\r
