Description
This position drives Operations Processes and Strategy for Humana's Aviation team.
Responsibilities
Utilize analytical skills, leadership acumen and entrepreneurial spirit to facilitate the operations of Humana's Aviation team. The Senior Aviation Operations Professional directly influences the successful implementation of the Humana Aviation Services organizational strategy. Make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is often performed with little to no direction. Exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Representative Duties and Responsibilities
Projects. Serve as project coordinator or support for selected departmental initiatives.
Budget and Finance. Develop, present, and gain alignment for annual departmental budget. With routine cadence, ensure acceptable budget performance, correct discrepancies, and account for / address variances. Develop improved methodology for tracking departmental expenses.
Reporting and Analytics. Routine report generation and presentation. Design and produce ad-hoc reports. Use advanced data analysis tools to discover the 'story' behind the information. Create and deliver presentations to multiple audiences, including peers, leaders, and executive levels.
Strategic Planning. Participate in, and provide administrative support for, aircraft fleet, facility, and operations.
Oversight of Administrative Support. Set up and manage vendor contracts, conduct and/or coordinate administrative functions for Aviation team, manage organizational documents and records.
Flight Coordination. Utilize computerized scheduling systems. Coordinate departures and arrivals, ground transportation, and in-flight service requirements. Facilitate transparent and efficient communication between internal and external stakeholders including scheduling team, pilots, technicians, executive assistants, service providers, safety and security, etc.
Cross-functional Collaboration. Liaise with strategic partners in Finance, Workplace Experience, Legal, Tax, etc. to leverage expertise in all areas.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in finance, business, supply chain management, leadership, analytics, or similar
2 years' experience as an analyst, or similar
2 years' experience with building, presenting, gaining alignment for, and tracking results for large organizational budgets
2 years' experience leading people, processes or large projects
Knowledge of, or experience with, scheduling and coordination of business aviation assets (prefer experience as a flight coordinator, aircraft scheduler, or similar)
Significant business acumen
Exposure to creating reports, developing stories with data, applying analytics or visualization tools and techniques to aviation and budget data
Comfortable managing a wide variety of responsibilities with an entrepreneurial and proactive spirit
Ability to interact with and present to a wide and varied audience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Ability to motivate and lead others as part of a team oriented environment
