Twin Utility Avionics Systems Engineer','271604','!*!JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing avionics and electrical engineering design support to Textron Aviation’s various product development needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare engineering drawings for the installation of avionics and electrical equipment and wire harnesses using computer based drafting tools (CATIA).

Assist in wiring diagram and harness assembly preparation using computer-based wiring software (Mentor Graphics).

Assist in writing test plans, conformity requests, functional tests, and compliance reports.

   IV.        Perform analysis requiring frequent application of engineering principles

    V.        Prepare functional test documents for avionics and electrical systems

   VI.        Prepare certification documentation including certification plans, ground and flight test plans and certification reports showing avionics and electrical systems compliance with 14 CFR Part 23/25

  VII.        Will evaluate and analyze avionics and electrical system design for completion of function hazard assessments and system safety assessments','!*!EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in:

o    Electrical Engineering

o    Computer Engineering

o    Electrical Engineering Technology

o    Other related Engineering field

·         Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience or relative aviation technical or systems experience.

QUALIFICATONS:

·         Experience with avionics and electrical system design to the requirements of CFR 14 Part 23 is desired.

·         Experience with CATIA component and assembly design and drafting is strongly desired.  CATIA V6 is preferred.

·         Experience with computer-aided wiring diagram and harnessing software is desired.  Mentor Graphics is preferred.

·         Experience with electrical wiring, harnessing, and manufacturing is strongly desired.

·         Strong computer, written and verbal communication skills required. 

·         Time management skills are required to work multiple concurrent projects of various size and scope. 

·         Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint are required, Visio experience is desired.
