Avionics Engineer Jobs
The Avionics engineer performs stress analysis on aircraft (metallic and composite) structures. He or she also performs design and aerodynamics/performance analysis for military aircraft modification programs. The Avionics engineer is expected to take an active part in engineering development and in modifying and reengineering the products. Apart from his routine work responsibilities, the Avionics engineer provides support for wind tunnel, and aerodynamics coordination with multi-discipline teams including modification teams, logistics support, and other engineering disciplines.
A Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, aeronautical, or aerospace is a must for the Avionics engineer. A Masters degree will be an added advantage. Modeling of flexible dynamics (NASTRAN) exposure is preferred. The Avionics engineer must possess working knowledge of aviation programming design module. He or she should also have good amount of knowledge with system integration, system maintainability, requirements, and procedures of systems. Background in aircraft structural analysis will have added advantage for the Avionics engineer.
