Airport Manager Jobs
An airport manager is responsible for carrying out all aspects of administrative work at the airport. An airport manager handles managerial duties depending on the size of the airport and his abilities. Generally an airport manager does not need much of traveling except on emergency basis, but may be required to work during nights, weekends, and on holidays when needed. An airport manager coordinates with internal departments such as flight operations, charter, SOC, facilities, and government affairs. Other duties may include ensuring flight schedule integrity, and overseeing performance of the network management staff.
An Airport Manager is required to have a bachelor's degree. Specialization in aviation or post graduation in a similar field is an advantage. An airport manager usually requires minimum of 2 years' experience in the aviation field. It's important for an airport manager to know the local language. An airport manager has the ability to analyze and solve operational problems and make optimum decision in stressful situations.
