Aerospace Engineer Jobs
An aerospace engineer performs stress analysis on aircraft (metallic and composite) structures. Duties may include performing designing, aerodynamics and performance analysis, and modification programs. An aerospace engineer is expected to take active part in engineering development, and re-engineering the products. An aerospace engineer provides support to aerodynamics coordination with multi-discipline teams including modification teams, logistics support, and other engineering disciplines.
A bachelor's degree in mechanical, aeronautical, and/or aerospace is a must for an aerospace engineer. A masters degree will be an added advantage. An aerospace engineer should have knowledge on aerospace programming design, system integration, system maintainability requirements, and procedures of systems. Knowledge of 3D CAD/Cam tools and practical experience in aircraft operations and controls is always an advantage. Familiarity with MATAB and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD/US Government Security Clearance is a plus. An aerospace engineer must be capable of solving problems in research and should be able to work with the technical team. Background in aircraft structural analysis will be an added advantage.
