Avionics Sustainment Engineer 3
This position supports Avionics Hardware Sustaining Engineering activities for airborne communications, navigation, computing, and status and monitoring systems employed on the B-2 aircraft. Position involves close coordination with Government personnel at the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center (OC-ALC) and the 509th Bomb Wing, Whiteman AFB, MO for B-2 fleet support, avionics system sustainment analysis and reporting, System Integration Laboratory hardware support, and other avionics technical investigations, as directed. Position is located in Oklahoma City, OK.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
BS Degree in Engineering related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills, and avionics technical experience. Candidate must be familiar with avionics systems, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, acquisition process, avionics analysis experience ranging from system to component level, and an ability to troubleshoot avionics failures on aircraft to the LRU level. Understanding of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Supplies (DMSMS) issues is required. A BS or equivalent is preferred. Secret security clearance and ability to obtain B-2 Special Access is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
A thorough understanding of the B-2 Avionics system is desired. Team leadership or Systems Engineering experience is preferred. Experience with IPT operations and B-2 development processes strongly desired.
